LONDON, March 31
The results of the first Labour Budget for the financial year which closed to-day show that instead of an estimated deficit of £ 7,{M0,000, after taking into account the supplementary expenditure, the surplus is £3,658,884.
The net decrease in revenue compared with 1023-4 was £37,733,689, chiefly due to a falling-ofi in Customs and excise.
