NORTH OTAGO FARMERS.
RESISTANCE TO WORKERS' DEMANDS. (press association telegram.) OAMARU, March 31. Much concern lias been felt by farmers in North Otago at the receipt of a claim on behalf of the Farm Workers' Union for a forty-eight hour week and a substantial increase in ivages. Farmers allege that if the demands arc conceded many will be ruined, and they intend to offer up strong resistance to them.
