SYDENHAM SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
At the February meeting of the Sydenham School Committee there were present—The Rev. J. K. Archer (chairman), Messrs F. A. Frayle, T. H. Butterfield, H. J. Hoddinott, J. H. Pratt, E. A. J. Hooper, J. G. Brown, C. H. Rintoul, and H. H. McCaw. It was decided, owing to the infantile paralysis epidemic, to postpone the picnic indefinitely. The balance-sheet in connexion with the fancy dress carnival, held to provide funde for a Christmas tree for the young children of the school, was. read, the net profit being £S 17s, which was considered very satisfactory... Great .praise was given to Mr Brown and the ftitnds who. assisted him in making the function, .such a Buccess. The money was spent in toys and sweets for the children. Messrs Hooper and Hoddinott were appointed a Visiting Committee for the ensuing term.
