Read this Extract from The Christchurch 'Press' of December 18th. OVERLAND NON-STOP RUN AN OBJECT IESSON TO MOTOEISTS. Commenting on the Overland seven days' and seven nights' non-stop endurance run, Mr J. S. Hawkcs, organising secretary of the Canterbury Automobile Association, said that great interest is being taken in the Overland in the country districts through which it travels. "Thero is no doubt," continued Mr Hawkcs, "that a reliability trial of this nature is of ths greatest importance to all motorists—particularly to thoso intending to purchaso a car of the Overland class. The route selected includes all conditions of travel and embraces moro than an average proportion of hill climbing. Tho test is n particularly sovere one, as tho cngino is kept running all tho time and no adjustments aro permitted excepting whilst the engine is running, so that they must be of a minor character. When tho Overland completes its seven days' and seven nights' travelling on Friday evening at 7.30, it will havo crowded into one week what is a complete year's running for tho average private owner, thus establishing that an Overland will givo a season's running at tho cost of petrol and oil only. It must be borne in mind that a trial of this nature imposes a strain on a car far above the ordinary, and only an importer with supremo confidenco in his motor would care to face a test of this nature." iiflHH Satisfaction Proved Economy in OVERLAND AGENTS: N.Z.
