MR BEEBE'S ENTERPRISE.
LEASES GREATER CRYSTAL PALACE. I : I With, characteristic enfterpjrise, Mr jY. M. Beebe, well and fa-vourably known to all Chrisrtehnrch lovers of high-class motion pictures, has completed arrangements for leasing Greater Crystal Palace. The lease, which is for five years, will start to run on Monday next. Prom . its inception, some seven or eight years ago, with a comparatively brief interregnum, to the present, Mr Beebe has been intimately connected with the management of Greater Crystal Palace, and has been responsible for the high standard maintained in respect of the motion pictures and the orchestral music provided to an ever-increasing clientele. In the fulleat sense of the term Greater Crystal Palace is Mr Beebe's creation, and in the building itself and in the management of it as a theatre he has carried out his ideals and has won for the theatre, and the manner in which it is conducted, the Mghert praise from visitors from all lands, visitors who have been in a position to express considered and authoritative 'judgment. Under the new order of affairs there will be a continuation and an intensification of the policy of the past four years, and Mr Beebe, who possesses and exercises a living faith in the personal toueh; will be personally and directly responsible for all that makes for the entertainment, comfort, and convenience of the patrons of Greater Crystal Palace. As in the past, the orchestra will be a prominent feature and attraction under the new regime. But just as "Borne was not built in a day," so the changes Mr Beebe has planned cannot be effected in a week j or a month as by the agency of a magic wand, but a foretaste of what is to come will be given on Monday night, when the big production, "Luck," starring Johnny Banes, of "Burn 'Em Up Barnes" fame, is to be submitted, and will be supported by "On Time," featuring Dick Talmadge. Other big programmes coming early in the Is r ew Tear will include "The Sea Hawk" and "Wine."
