TROTSKY ATTACKED
BY SOVIET LEADERS. PRESS BOYCOTT ORDERED. (bt cable—prbss association—coptkoht) ("the times.") RIGA, December 21. The Soviet triumvirate have commenced a new and bitter campaign against Trotsky with the object of depriving him permanently of all real power. Trotsky was recently officially declared ill and ordered to seek a warmer climate, but is apparently still in Moscow. The triumvirate, who so far have attacked only Trotsky's political activities, ar now assailing his reputation as organiser and leader of the Red Army. A special pamphlet has been issued, in which it is stated that Trotsky's military merits aro a mere myth, and that he continually caused unnecessary friction. Trotsky is wholly unablo to reply to tlieso new attacks since the Soviet Press has been ordered to boycott him.
