Long before the war the former Kaiser paid so many visits to Alsace and Lorraine that he found it necessary to establish a residence at Urville, near Metz. The French have sequestrated the property, and a commencement has been made in selling it. The farm of the Mesnils, containing nearly 500 acres, has just been sold to : the County Council of Meurthe et Moselle, which proposes to give it to the State. The chateau of Urville and a magnificent park attached, will be sold in one lot.
