Sir.—T ask permission of you to be allowed to state that in answer Lo the letter in your paper on the 25th regarding the figures 1 quoted' at the Methodist Synod, I am prepared to suppport the same. I never make'a practice of answering any letter signed by a nom-de-plume, nor to prove any statement I have made do I ever expose publicly those that we, as a society have claimed to help, or take advantage of such an occasion to get cheap advertising.
