Tho reports of the various administrative boards, the main points of which have already been published, were adopted, with expressions satisfaction with tho present, prosperity and futuro outlook of the craft in Jiew Zealand. Oh the recommendation of the Board of General Purposes tho rank of Past Grand Master, honoris caußa, was conferred upon the Hon. H. L. Michel, M.L.C., hithorto Pro-Grand , Master, and that of Past Junior Grand Warden upon Mr Ji C. Cooper, of ' Chriatchurcli, and Mr D. B. Wallace, Auckland, in recognition of their services, in each instance, to the institution. Eepresentation of New Zealand at tho. proposed conference of the Australian Grand Lodges at Adelaide in 1925 was approved. It was resolved that the next Annual Communication be held at Dunedin. Other matters dealt with were of purely domestic interest.

A BRILLIANT CEREMONIAL. Freemasons from far and near, including a very strong representation of city and suburban lodges, and tho high officers of sister constitutions, attended atthe Town Hall in the evening to witness the installation o£ Mr Massey as Grand Master and the induction of the other principal officors of Grand Lodge for the year. The gathering was beyond question the largest assemblage of Freemasons yet held in the Dominion, the attendance being nearly 3000. A distinguished viiitor was Judge Montgomerio Hamilton, Past Grand Master of New South Wales, who came from Sydney expressly to do honour to New Zealand's WW Grand Master.

The Hon, H. L. Michel, as Pro Grand Mister, occupied tha chair at the comnenctment of tho proceedings, but after the reception of the visitors from other constitutions, he invited Mr O. NicholMri, Past Grand Master, to take his place and act as . Installing Grand Master. The Grand Master elect then entered the hall, announced and attended in the sumptuous manner usual on such occasions, and tho ceremonies - connected ■with his investiture and enthronement were carried out with the bright musical i accompaniments and proclamations. After his intallation tho Grand Master ' Mnounced his appointment of -Mr &chard H. Richmond, of Grcymouth, , Deputy Grand Master for tho enwing year, and this officer was accordingly invested and inducted. Announcement was also made of the appointment of Provincial Grand Masters as follows:—Auckland, Mr O. Nicholson; "Wellington, Mr Geo. Rus- . Otago, Mr "W. Xashner; Southland, W. A. Stout; Ruapohu, Mr "VV. Haydon. Maclean; Hawko'B Bay, Mr C. H. - ftltchley; West Coast, Mr f. C. Wade; kelson and Marlborough, Mr R. P. Witness; Taranaki, Mr G. W. Rogers. These officers were duly invested. Canterbury Province has its own Provincial Grand Lodge, of which the Provincial Grand Master is Mr W. Mc- : Bride.

Tribute to Lord Jcllicoo. Referring to tho work of Lord Jellicoe as Grand Master, the Hon. 11. L. Michel, Pro-Grand Master, said he had never wearied in striving to uphold the highest traditions and ideals of the craft. Sew Zealand was richer aud Freemasonry Btronger as the result of his work. Although in the past they had boen fortunate in their Grand Masters, he was confident that no Grand Master had more truly endeared himself to the members of the craft, and in tho Bftino of the Grand Lodge ho had sent Lord Jellicoe a message of farewell, wishing him a safe and pleasant voyage, and expressing tho hope that ho would bo spared for many years to render further service to the great Empire of which he was such an outstanding figure, and that all the blessings this lil'o could givo would fall upon him and those near and dear to him. Mr Michel stated that Lord Jellicoe, during his term of office, had devoted an average of one evening a week to tho interests of Freemasonry. A telegram was read from Lord Jellicoe, expressing regret at his inability to be piresent, and expressing to Freemasons throughout the Dominion his extreme regret at leaving them, and his warm fraternal wishes.
