CASUALTIES.
IF. Gregg, married, living ;it 144 "street, was knocked down by ;i motorcar on Saturday afternoon at the corner of Tuuni and Durham streets. He received injuries to the right leg. necessitating his removal to the Christ - church Hospital.
A. Newman, who lives at 00 Fitzgerald street, while riding a motor-cycle over the junction of Shirley and Marshland roads on Saturday afternoon, collided with a motor-car and received superficial injuries. He was treated at the out-patients' department of the Christchurch Hospital and discharged. Fienrv John Theophilus Wentworth, aged 40, married, died suddenly yestercbiv. about o p.m.. at his: residence. 14 T ravers street. Linwcnxl. His mother saw him playing with another boy, and missing him later thought he had gone to meet his father.
