NEW BRIGHTON BEACH CHURCH
A mooting of tho Beach Church Vestry ■niia held at tho Ticarago on Friday evening. Present—The Eev. C. Maclaverty (in tho chair), tho Ecv. J. Xnowlos, Messrs Ward, iiargrovc, Hockley, de lvoo, ijlackburn, Underhay, Wrethall and iicott. Matters in connexion with tne now cnurch wore discussed, but no definite change was made pending negotiations with the Church Property Trustees. Mr Armstrong tendered his .resignation, which was accepted with regret, and it was decided to place on record tho Vestry's appreciation of tho work done by him in the past tor tho church. It was decided to stirnulato the social activities of tho parish, and to this end it was agreed to hold a social evening in the pajish Toom to-morrow, and that similar functions be held fortnightly thereafter. Mr Blackburn reported that arrangc.merits v.ero well in hand for tho concert being given by the Kiwi Sunshine Concert Party next Saturday craning. Minor matters had still to be settled and volunteers for doorkeepers, etc., were called for and accepted.
