Lyltelton Rowing Club was hfrld in tho Oddfellows 1 Hall last evening, Mr D. "White-Parsons presiding- over a, satisfactory attendance cf members. Tho annual report stated that although the year had been a trying one, the nmnv djffieultieo had been surmounted by tho splendid enthusiasm of the members. Tho club was now in a. fine position among tho sport* clab fl of Lyttelton. The active membership stood «t 41, being 23 een'ors and 18 junipis. The annual dance haa proved a big- success, dno chiefly to tho help oi tho lady supporters of the olub. Tho opening day was also very successful, being well attended by the general publio, while several Christohuroh. clubs participated. A novelty fair held in December was the means oi augmenting the cmb funds by over £lO. During tho season tho club had been represented at the Christohuroh and Wellington regattas, the light-weight maiden four securing a place at the former regatta. A floating slip-way erected by the Lyttelton Harbour Board bad proved a valuable addition to tho club's plant. Tho boats and other plant had been overhauled and v,-ere in good condition for the coming season. A new convertible double-sculler and a second-hand pair and four-oar had been purchased. Tho club»bad now six good boats. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £1 11a 6d, which was considered very satisfactory in view of tho heavy outlay on plant. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr H. Ryder; vice-presidents, last year's vice-presidents were re-elected; captain, Mr D. White-Parsons; -\h J. Voyee; secretary. Mr B.
