SCOTTISH FARM TRAGEDY.
FATAL FIRE IN A LOFT. (BT CABLE—PESSS ASSOCliTlOH—coptsigsit) (LVSTSUISiX AXD JT.Z. CX3LK ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, September 21. A shocking tragedy occurred on a farm at Dondonald hi Ayrshire, where a party of men and women, engaged as potato gatherers, slept in a partitioned loft over the barn. A fire broke out at one cvcloek in the morning. The occupants of the loft made a frenzied search for a small laddenvav, the only means of escape, but the smoke obscured the outlet. The result ivas that five women and four men were incinerated.
