SHARIN& THE COST* Tie report of the conference of representatives of tha New Brighton Boroagh Council, tha (ED&athoate County Council, tie Cbristchurch City Coancii,. and th© ' Christchurch Tramway Board, convened for the purpose of considering ■ the allocation-, of • th© cost of constructing & new bridge over the river Avon at New Brighton,' was presented to ,the Cjity Council -last uisbt. It was stated that after folly discussing the matter the delegates decided to recommend their. ; respective Councils and Board to agree to the following allocation Brighton Borough Council, 50 per cent.; Heathcote County Council. 10 per cent.; Christ-c-burch City Council, 17§, per cent.; Christchurch Tramway -Board, 22J per cent. —total, 100 per cent. Th* Council's delegates therefore recommended the Council to agree to contribute 'l7s per cent, towards' the cost of constructing: the bridge. Th? Council agreed to the* recommendation."
