The opening function was attended by a number of visitors, including tho 'Mayor iMr J. Gamble) and Mrs Gamble. Amongst the players present taere were. Messrs T. Healey, i\ Goode, and H. Oakcy, (members of the Centre Executive), Mr Harris (m-esident of the Sydenham Club), Mr H. A. Jarden (president oi the Edgcn\;ire Club), and representatives from the iteauicote, Onawa, Beckcnham, Linwood, bydenham, l'apxrca, Oxford, Fa.paiiui, church, ltanjjiora, St.. Albans imtvd, Edgeware, KcMn (Wellington) clubs, and Mcfsrs A. W. Ovflcs, 1'• ». Muiwm and W. lierriek (past-presidents of tae local eiub). . , .
