OBITUARY.
On Sunday evening, August 31st, Mr William S. Jordan, a well-known farmer in the Dacre district, Southland, was found unconscious- in his house. Dr. Barclay was called in, and had Mr Jordan removed to the hospital, Invercargill, where he died next day from cerebral haemorrhage. When overtaken with sickness the late Mr Jordan was in the act of packing-up, intending to return to Canterbury at an«early date. Through the prompt action and courtesy o±' the lnvercargill police in informing the relatives, a sister (Mrs Burgess, Yaldhurst) and a brother were able to attend tlio funeral at St. John's cemetery, Waikiwi. The Rev. Canon Finnis, of Clinton, officiated at the graveside.
