RELIEF FOR AMERICANS
(AXTST&ALIAX AXD N/Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.)
LONDON, September IS,
A Geneva correspondent states that the Fifth Committee is dealing with relief work emong the Armenian women and children refugees in the Near East. Mrs E. F. Allan (Australia) supported a suggestion for the renewal of the relief for at least another year. She said there were still 100,000 people to bo cared for, and it would bo deplorable to abandon the work, not only for the sake of tho unfortunate sufferers, but also for the prestige of tho League. Australian women felt so strongly when discontinuance was suggested last year that they immediately opened a subscription list. M. Sarraut (France) thanked Mrs Allan and urged expression of appreciation of the Australian women's generosity. The committee agreed to recommend a continuance of the relief for another year.
