Fanny Jury, ;i woman ;iged about 30 years and residing at rapanui, was admitted to the Cliristchurch Hospital on Wednesday night, suifcring from the effects of poison. DUX EDI X, September IS. .At- the inquest on Thomas Mann, a rabhiter, aged 48, a verdict was returned that, while- temporarily insane, ho met his death by discharging a high •explosive. The deceased lived at. ail old mining camp ntiar Hanlurly. The- evidence showed that the deceased had ignited a quantity of explosives and had then placed his bodv across it. T3ie trunk was blown away, and only his left shoulder, head, and legs remained.
