{special to "the press.") DUNEDIN, August 14. An interesting incident which occurred in Dunedin this week proved that the saying lhat one good turn deserves another is not a papular fallacy. When lying sorely wounacd on the heights of Chanuk Bair, on Gailipoli, in Angust, 1915, i New Zealand soldier was bandaged by a comrade nnd given a drink of water. Fortunately he was able tc be removed, and when he was taken to the dressing station on the beach the medical officer said that the way in which the bandage had been applied had saved his life. The man v/ent into hospital in Egypt, and lost all trace of his benefactor till the other day, when he met him in the street, and found that he was down on his luck. The man had been I badly wounded in France, and was fit j for only light work, which, however, as is well known, is diiflcnlt to find. The Gailipoli man had prospered exceedingly in his business since his return- He had tried during the past nine years to trace his benefactor, but had been unable to do so.
