Pinns insignis timber is said: to be weather-resistant as wll aa borer* proof. An Oanxa.ru settler states that he knows of fencing posts of pino that have been in tbe ground for fifteen years (says the Nortii Otago "Timfis : ), and are as solid to-day as the day upon which they were put in. The posts were tarred, however a before being used foe -farcing.
