Griffiths (Oiago; was too clever for H Hayward and easily retained the bantam title. A. Hay (Hawke's Bay) had a hard contest with W. "Walden (Wellington), but won the v.-clter title«by his ability to use a Straight left. J. G. Leckio (Otago) defeated J. Garvey (West Coast) for the light-heavy-weight championship after an even but rather uninteresting contest. Drew (Ota»o) and P. ,Black mad? things wnlmg in tho feather-weight bout, tTut the .-'lago mun steadied his opponent with an uppercut, and was the stronger at the fjra-h, winning well. D Lovoridgc (Wellington) is the now lightweight champion, aft»r afi ecic contest with D. Trowern (Auckland). The pair fought toe to toe the whole way. L.
