MR KNIGHT'S PLANS.
Speaking to a reporter at Jlmcarion yesterday, Mr H. A. Knight, owner of .Ilr.yal Despatch, said lio had hud a ■cable message from Jones, but it convoyed no further information than was obtained from the Press message. With regard to his appearance- before the officials in (Sydney, ho srdd ho had already rnado his plans to leavo for Sydney in the first week of September. Ho had many business matters to attend to hero, and it would bo impossible for him to leave New Zealand earlier.
As to the position of tho other members of his team in Australia, Mi' Knight said ho had not yet given any thought to that question. In the event of the appeal being dismissed it would bo necessary to nm.ko other arrangemnts for the training of his horses. Had it not been for Ballymena ho would have felt disposed to bring the lot home, but while the Derby winner waa all right, ho did not care to take that step.
