FIRES.
DRAPER BURNT OUT. (PKBBS ASSOCIATION TELZGBAi£-J WANGANUI. Aaeust 12. A fire at Waverley yesterday evening destroyed Shipton's drapery establishment and dwelling. The family tad . a narrow escape, only a few articles of clothing being saved. The adjoining buildings were saved with difficulty. The premises were insured for ftf2C£. I-VVEROARGILL, August 12. Shortly after midnight a motor house belonging to W. Frew, a carrier, containing two motor-lorries, a char-a-banc, and a Dodge car, was totally destroyed. The insurances are £llOO. but the loss considerably exceeds this amount.
