Miuchison, stating that Mr C. S. Thoiuns, acting on behalf of Mr Wright, had isked whether the Association would aJio'.v M: Wright to take down the. improvements which had been erected at the loose-bcxcß, aud sell tha timber, or would Anderson and Smith bo allowed to do »o? Tho comtnifiho decided that it recognised no person's claim to interfere with tho improvements. Messrs J. Rowntree, P. Bush, R. Peaob, and Geo. Mcßean _ accented positions ua judges at tho coming show. Donations were received fiom the !•>«■ Zealand Fricsian Association £i Is, Mr R. Coloo £2 '2a, and ths patron (Mr W. J. Jenkins) £a as. Tho secretary of the Canterbury A. und P. Association wrote with regard to form'n? :i South Islund Federation of Agricultu a| and Pastoral Associations. It >vas decided to join tho Federation, and Mr W. J. Jenkin's was appointed delegate. Mr G. 'l'. Robertson vacated the s.eerctavy's chair, nud thanked raembora for tho help and consideration given to him dunag his term of office which had extended oter twenty-nino years and four niontns, H--also itsked tho members to give Mr E. 111. Belgravo, tha nowly-appoinlfd' eecrotary. the same help. Mr Belgrave thanked tho commitUe for appointing him, and sail ho would do bis best to further the interests of tho Association. Mr F. G. Sow Jen was appointed ; o f:l* the vacancy on tho comniitteo, causbi by Mr J. W. Belo-ravc's eleotion aa treasurer. The president reporter! on an interview •with the Railway Department with regard tj fading stoeik at a hi tor hour on Tuesdays. It was arranged to truck stock at i p.m. It was decided that tho kitchenette fund be handed over to the treasurer, *ud tlu.i the accounts bo pal?. Mews N. Sadler and J. W. Lill were elected 'members 6f the Association. "Votes of thanks were accorded to Mr D. S. Murchia-an for his and lie vtis appointed hono-ary solicitor to tho Association, and to Mr H. McNao for his long services as treasurer.
It waa decided to try to obtain the services of a first-class draught stftllion, to travel tho district.
