Billiards. The Lyttelton's Club's weekly flying-fifty billiard tournament, on Monday night, was won by J. McLeod, who beat C. Toy in the final. The Holiday. Moat of the business premises in Lyttcl--ton closed at 11.30 a.m. yesterday for the Grand National holiday. Large crowds of race-goers left for Christohurch by the morning trains, and as there was little shipping in the harbour, the town and port presented a very' deserted appearance for the remainder of the day. The Pictures. "Dick Turpin's Ride to York," an English picture starring Matheson Lang, will be repeated at the Harbour Light Theatre tonight, together with the second episode of "Daniel Boone," and a comedy. To-morrow, The Phantom Horseman," featuring Jack Hoxie, will ba screened. The supporting programme includes two comedies and the; firat episode of "In the Days of Buffalo Bin." Magistrate's Court Messrs F. G. Norton, J.P., and ,F. KnhjfrU, J.P., presided at a sitting of the Lytteltoo Magistrate's Court yesterday.
