METROPOLITAN TROTTING CLUB.

AUGUST MEETING. SECOND DAY. The August Meeting of tho New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club vrill bo advanced another stage at Addington to-day. The acceptances are good, and include a number of horses that did not race on tho opening day. Thero should be somo interesting racing. Eleven high-class horses have accepted in tho King George Handicap, including Snowshoo, Logamvood, and Hal Junior, who finished second, third, and fourth respectively in tho August Handicap, and they should again race prominently ; al>o Acrou, who will be making his first appearance at tho Meeting. A high-class held of fourteen horses'is engaged in tho Speedway Handicap, and a trio with possibilities are Sheik, Great Biugen, and Man o' War, on 30yds. The first race will start at 11.0 a.m., and n frequent tram service will run to and from the course during the day. Tho following is the program Jne :—•
