The Home Secretary has refused ,to reprieve Pierre Vaquier, who was sentenced to. death for the murder of Alfred Jones, a. Rvfleet publican. Vaquier was reading in bed when" liei was informed, that there, would bo no reprieve. He sprang up, shrieked something in French, and fainted!
