Y.M.C.A. CAMERA CLUB. ♦ Tlic monthly meeting- of the Chris tchurch Y.M.C.A. Camera Club was hold on Saturday evening. Mr IT. Brown presided. J. L. Jl.'irtia lectured on "Lessors Kindred Arts," and dealt with tbj vano us methods of relief, intaglio, and suriacs reproduction. He illustrated very fully wocd engraving, lino engraving, etching, stipple vrcrk, mezzo-tint, aqua-tint, rubber, was, litho stono processes. The principal lesson learnt from the "old masters'" in these arts was the careful attention paid to the us of light and ohade, and it was noticeable in landscape work that thpze wcro r-o "bald-headed" skies, a fault 80 prevalent in photographic work.
