SPRINGS. At the monthly meeting of llio Springs Countv Council, held at Springaton oil Jhursdav, the following members were present. Cra. A. Thompson (chairman), J. S. oidmsson, E. H. Howell, E. Y&rr, and C. 11. AVatson. _ , The Sclwyn Plantations Board, on the application of Kr C. "Wolfe, agreed to m'PPly the Council with 1000 trees lor planting on county Turves, at the cost price of produclion, £2 10s. . In accepting the offev the mtuv complimentary references to Mr Wo.fo # repeated good services on behalf of the Council. Mr J. BRiter. (Lincoln) wrote asking, for repairs to the road between Hewton s and Thompson's. It was now difficult to gc» a car in or out. . The Council admitted the difficulty referred to, and the engineer w.is in»tructcd to effect vas received that Mefl'W O. Mc* Clitchie and Co.' had acquired the property and business at Lincoln of Messrs Y.. liirtram and Co.
