A large gathering i-t thu Sydney University last night to hear Professor John Adams lecture was disappointed owing to an accident to the professor, who fell downstairs at his club. The injuiTes ere slight, but as a precautionary measure he was removed to hospital. Ho is expected to -be able to resume his activities in a day or two. [Dr. Adams, Emeritus professor of Education in the University of London, is to give n series of lectures in New Zealand following 011 his Australian tour.]
