Allan, Leader of the Country Party in the State Assembly, is discomfited over the action of the Govern6r in sending for the Leader of tfie Labour Party to form a Ministry. Prior to the defeat of the Government, Mr Allan declined to listen to overtures from Sir Alexander Pes, cock's followers, and said that he intended to forestall Mr Prendergast in challenging the Ministry, apparently believing that" whatever happened the Governor would send for him. Militant members of the Country Party express gratification at the : advent ~of Labour to office. If moderate members, headed by Mr Allan, assume an attitude hostile to Labour, the Party will be disrupted. '
