MALVERN POWER BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. At the last meeting of the Malvern Electric Power Board, Messrs G. H. Judd (chairman),, Hall, Oliver, Malar, Deans, and Mutholland were present. The Finance Committee (Messrs Judd and Dean-3) reported having met during the a,nth and considered the schedule of duties of inspector and electrical superintendent. They had given iustruct.ons to invite app ications for the position, and fifteen repnes were before the Board. Alter careful consideration these were held over for enquiry. The Malvern County Council wrote in rep y to an application for office accommodation, granting the use of the Council Chambers till the end of the current financial year. It wa3 deeded to thank the Couno.l for its generous offer and to accept it. Correspondence was read on the subject of the loan, and further progress was made in this direction. . .. » Some discussion took place on the suitability of gums for transmission poles, ineluding experiments with and without wood preservative, and it was resolved to make enquiries about gums of not less than Mty vears of age which wou.d be suitable for thi EBSils* as*A •-» r f
