At a meeting of the Christchurcli Tramway Jiinipioyees' Union held this weeK, toe suggestions mado by the Minister of Labour as to the method of keeping tho union's accounts were discussed. The proposal that some .person other than tne person who wrote up the minutes should read them, was considered a serious reflection on the writer of the minutes. Some of the other suggestions met with the approval of the union, as they were being followed and had been followed for some time past: other suggestions were considered very objectionable and the secretary waa instructed to inform the Minister that the members had every confidence in those conducting the business of the union, and considered that any interference, or additional regulations, were absolutely unwarranted.
