CANTERBURY CLUB,

The lorty-Srst annual roport of the Canterbury Bowling Club, which will be submitted at the club's annual meeting, slates that the pa3t season was successful in every way. providing members with abundance of stcnto sport. The eeason began with a membership of 77 playing members and 10 honorary members, and ended -.villi 71 ploying end" 10 honorary members. Angus and J. A. Eedpath, were' successful' in winning the pairs championship, going through the competition without" a. loss. With tho slight increase in the annual subscription, authorised last year, the revenue had improved, total receipts from all sources amounting to £597 2a 'od; expenditure had been £582 Sa <m, leaving a credit balance of £l-1 13s Id. At the close of the financial year tho only unpaid accounts were £l6 for the new chimney and £l3 for trophies. During tho year £5 iii debentures was redeemed, and one debenture presented to the club.
