AUCKLAND, June 16. Annie Davies, wife of Thomas .B. Davies, of Papatoetoe, died on Sunday from injuries received in an accident on Thursday, when .a horse driven by Mr Davies shied and collided with a vehicle driven by N. Pennell. Mrs Davies was thrown out of' the trap and received serious injuries. A carpenter named Robert Corstorphine, aged 40, while engaged fitting a new lift at the premises of John Court. Ltd. ; Queen street, was struck hr the moving carriage and killed iri'stantlv. Apparently lie was bending over observing the extent of the clearance and was struck on the chin. He leaves a widow and two children. GIS.BORNE, June 18. Arthur Fitzwillinm. aged 65 vears, married, with three children, died suddenly apparently from a seizure. Deceased was a foreman builder, and was on his way out to a residence hewas building up the "Waimnta river, lie was seen to cross the river on a horse, but as he put in no appearance on the job a search was made and he was found dead. DUNEDIN, June 16. A fatality occurred at the foot of High street this afternoon. A boy named Cyril Victor Herbert Kelly, aged o£ years, when .returning from school, ran in front of a cable car, and was drawn under the wheels and killed instantly. A married woman named Sarah Gilchrist Rankin, aged 44 vears, was found drowned in a barrel at her home_ at Green Island on Saturday morning. An inquest was held which showed that deceased had been - depressed recently. A verdict that death was due to arowning, the cause being unknown, was returned.
