CORNWALL TO BUENOS AIRES.
(bx gable—pbbss association—copraiaffr.) Ibeuieb's teleobams.) BUENOS AIRES, June 15. International radio officials announce that the radio beam-ray communication between Poldhu station, Cornwall, England, and Buenos Aires was radio-telegraphic, not telephonic, as reported from London. ' The message was received after a successful test which was conducted for two days with the local station on a wave-length of i) 4 metres. Officials assert -that success over such a long distance means that highpower stations are no longer necessary for radio communication. They expect soon that all the stations of the four big allied international companies will be equipped with the radio reflectors essential to the beam-ray system, so that each may communicate with any cf the others directly and exclusively. ; • v The receiving apparatus, hero is of a special construction, having three lamps and' small cylindrical antenna. I'lie distance from Poldhu to Buenos Aires is 0333 miles. !
