TEPID BATHS.
THE YEAR'S WORKING.
In his annual report to the City Council last nighty the custodian of the Tepid Baths (Mr Ei. Breward) stated that the increase in receipts, compared with those for the previous year, was £IBB. The report qlso stated: The electrical heating system has 'been permanently installed in a separate building at the side o£ the bath and has been in use since September 12th, Since that date the pool has been emptied seven times a week. This has been greatly appreciated by the bathing public. Up to the end of March the pool was heated 69 times electrically and 132 by eteam. With this extra system of heating we have unlimited water for private baths and showers and the steam meets all requirements for th© launThe snell of very hot weather from January 7th to 13th made a corersponding Increase' rn the takings, resulting in a record week (£lO3 lis sd) since the bath was opened. _^
