The vessel will return to Sydney on Friday next. Bad weather has further delayed the Kuapehu in discharging Liverpool cargo at . Auckland, and the local agents advise that tho vessel was expected to leave the northern port yesterday for 'Wellington. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Botorua arrived at Napier on Friday morning from Auckland to continue loading. Sho was to leave Napier last night for Lyttelton and Wellington, and is due at Wellington on Saturday nest. The Rotorua will sail from Wellington on Juno 23rd for Southampton and London, via Panama. | Ti-o Huddart-Parker Co. has been appointed asrent for the Danish motor-ship, Nordbo. which is due at Vancouver about June 24th from Seattle, .to complete loading a large cargo of North American oats, for which there is at present a big demand in New Zealand. The vessel, which is 4500 gross tonnage, will discharge at Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin. The next passenger vessel of the company from Ho-ne for New Zealand will 'be the lonic, leaving Southampton on July 24th for Wellington and Lyttelton. She is due at Wellington about August 31st.

In connexion with the distress signal i»» ccived at tho Wellington radio station yesterday, the secretary of the General Post Office announces that no reply has been received to the broadcast request that any station which the call should forward particulars' to the Wellington radio station. ''' ■ ■ „_ _ ' . , It is tftatcd that the S.O.S. signal was clearly received at Wellington several times before the vessel's call sign and name, which ended with. Mara. From the strength of tho signals .it is possible that the vessel was some considerable distance from Wellington. The call sign used denotes that the vessel is of Japanese registration.

THE HONOLULU MARU.

The hearing has commenced of the claim against'the owner of the Honolulu Maru. ; It was stated.in evidence that the vaiue of' the "Japanese steainer was £87,000 and tho owners of the tug Champion claimed 10 per cent, of this value. The question for the Court to decide was the amount of salvage to be paid, as the salvage of the vessel was not disputed. [Owing to the shifting o£ her cargo and a consequent heavy list the Honolulu Jitaru called for aid off the Australian coast. The "■ Sydney tug Champion towed her • to safety; and subsequently the- owners and crew of the tug made a claim on the Japanese ownerß for £10,000.]
