RHEIMS CATHEDRAL.
ROCKEFELLER RESTORATION.

LONDON, June 10,
The Paris correspondent of the "Morning Post" states that tho Franco-American committee administering the Rockefeller gift has decided'to utilise 7,000,000 francs—ionethird of the gift—immediately. A million francs will bo devoted to repairing the roof and angel tower of Rheims Cathedral, and re-establish-ing the superstructure to its state before bombardment. Reinforced concrete will be used, in order to avoid the danger of fire. Two million francs will bo expended at Fontainebleau,. and 4,000,000 at Versailles.
The gift at the present exchange rate represents between 19,000,0(10 and 20,000,000 francs.
[John D. Rockefeller jun., of the United States, gave 1,000,000 dollars to reconstruct the palaces of Versailles and Fontainebleau and the Cathpdral of Rlieims.J
