CASUALTIES.
(peess association telegram.) " , AUCKLAND, June 9. Bertram Hitehock, aged 40, married, with three children, residing at Mt. Albert, was found dead in bed with a gas tube in liis mouth. DUNEDIN, June 9. 'Charles Harris, a widower, aged 60, a labourer by occupation, was found dead in his hut yesterday. At the inquest a verdict was returned of deatli from heart failure. TIMAKU, June 9. Two sudden deaths occurred to-day; Ernest Walker, 39, died suddenly at Otekaike. The cause is believed to be heart disease. David Rennie, single ; aged 42, dropped dead at Kimbeil. He was on the way to the doctor at Fairlie when he suddenly expired. He had complained of feeling unwell in tho morning.
