He says that the prospects of the South African Party at the elections are excellent. People have now realised tho significance of danger of secession accompanying th 6 pact be-, tween the Nationalists and the Labour Party, and there has 'been a great swing-round of feeling on that account. General Smuts predicts that the people will decisively reject the pact.
