A deputation representing League interests waited on the Lancaster Park Board of Control last night with a request, that the matter of granting the League the use of the Park on June 18th and August ]t'itlx bo reconsidered.- The Bonn! decided to make 110 recommendation in the matter. Cancer Treatment. A Canadian scientist, Dr. Glover, has isolated the cancer micro-organism, and claims that his method of treatment is showing. remarkable results. The Strike. The situation is easing in connexion with the London underground railway strike. Some men are now returning to work. Congress Adjourns. The session of the United States Congress has ended without any legislative aid being arranged for agriculture. Empire Ties. In a letter to "Tho Times," Mr E. Newman, M.L.C., says that the British Government is going the best way about weakening the ties that bind the Pacific Dominions to the Motherland. French Presidency.
