PLASTIC SURGERY.
DR. H. D. GILLIES IN DENMARK.
(from otra own otranißroirosirr.; LONDON, April 3. Major H. D. Gillies, who is the Chief Plastic Surgeon at the Queen's Hospital for Facial Injuries, Sidcup, Kent, and surgeon to the plastic departments nt two North London hospitals, is at present in Denmark. Ho went there a few days ago at the Invitation of the Danish naval authorities to examine some officers who were injured last summer by the explosion of a smoke bomb in the Danish cruiser Geyser. Major Gillies has successfully performed some operations on the sufferers, and other patients are awaiting his skilful handling. Yesterday, the quondam New Zealander was received by King Christian, to whom he explained the operations. Before leaving, the King ateepted from Gillies a copy of his work, "Plastic Surgery of Ihe Face."
