INDUSTRIAL EGYPT.
DAILY DISTURBANCES. (BT CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION— CpPYBIGHT-) ("THE TIWES.") LONDON, March 5. The Cairo correspondent of "The Times" reports that strikes and occupation of factories by workers continue to be the order of the day at Alesandria. A day seldom passes without new trouble, though hitherto ,_ there have been no instances of serous violence except when the police were overpowered while attempting to prevent strikers entering a soap-works; a struggle followed, in which several were injured. Eventually the strikers were persuaded to leave peacefully. The Vacuum Oil Company's women struck yesterday, endeavouring to seize the depot, which the police prevented. Raids on the houses of supposed Communists continue, a few arrests eventuating.
