LONDON, March 6.
Mr Wheatley (Minister of Btealth) announced in the House of Commons that £SOOO would be paid to Harnett, plaintiff in the lunacy case, immediately out of public funda, as Dr. Bond (Lunacy Commissioner) was a public servant, and was sued on actions taken in the performance of his public duty. If further sums were necessary they would bo paid to Harnett. An appeal has been lodged.
