Accused was tho company's agent at Te Aroha, nnd since July last eight amonnts had been misappropriated. Tho first amount vas taken to pay a email debt, iind in an effort to recoup himself, McCormick betted recklessly. He pleaded guilty and was committed to tho Supremo Court for sentence.
