PHARMACEUTICAL SOCIETY.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE. (FBESS ASSOCIATION TELZGEJJI.) DUNEDLW March 6. The annual conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand was continued in the Overseas Club rooms to-day. Mr Castle presided and there was a large attendance of delegates. On Lvhalf of the Auckland Division Mr Smith moved: "That this Conference being of the opinion that a Dominion award is desirable, urges those divisions where there is no award to join with the other divisions in order that one may be obtained." Mr Smith said it was believed that if they had a Dominion award it would be a decided advantage. Auckland, Christchureh and Diinedin were working under three separate awards, which ditto red in respect to conditions and salaries.
I '1 he motion was supported by the ' Auck.and. Canterbury and Otago Divii sions, and was opposed by Manawatu, Wellington and inivercargill Divisions. Mr H.T.King moved as follows on behalf of the Auckland Division : "That j the Chemists' Defence Association be i asked to furnish a report on its doings I with regard to amending the law in relation to the sale of medicated wines."
