DANISH CONSUL-GENERAL.

VISIT TO THE DOMINION. Mr Oive Lunn, the Consul-General for Denmark iu Australia and New whose headquarters are at -Melbourne, is at present paying his first official visit to the Dominion. Mr Lunn passed through Auckland two years ago, when on his way to take up his appointment, and the principal ooject of his present visit is to cail upon the different consuls and viceconsuls for Denmark in the Dominion. He is selecting a suitable person to act as consul at Wellington in place of Mr M. Myers, who resigned the position some timtj ago. Mr Lunn passed through Christchurch on his way south about a week ago and retui*neu on Tuesday evening. In a short chat with a representative of "The Press" yesterday, Mr Lunn said that his present visit was too hurried to permit him to visit many of the scenic attractions of New Zealand but he had been able to put in a week at Queenstov n, and had been much impressed with the beauty of the snen ery To-day he leaves for Hot™ and will leave. the train at Arthur's Pass, completing the journey by motor so that he can have an opportunity to view the rugged grandeur of Arthur's Pass and the Otira Gorge. He returns to AVellington via the Buller Gorge and Nelson. He informed the reporter that he hoped at no distant date to be able to return to New Zea land and spend more time in the coun trv as a tourist.
