After 72 years' continuous 6trvice with one .firm, Miss Man- King, of Birmingham, has died in her 81st year. She was at work until two days before her death. Miss King began work when she was about nine years old with Messrs J. Nicklin and Co., Ltd., manufacturers of metal smalhvares. "During the last 10 years," Messrs Nicklin write, "we have many times tried to persuade her to retire on a pension, but she always begged and pleaded to be allowed to stay on, as 6he was so happy at her work."
