A plague of caterpillars has. attacked a ten-acre plot of oats on Mr Bryant's farm on the Foxton road, says the "Shannon News," and have cleaned up the whole lot in the course of a day or two, leaving only the baro stalks. Mr Burling, the manager, estimates his loss at about £IOO, based on the preeent prices ruling for chaff. ■
